MI Abaga Disrespected By Club Quilox Management At Event He Was Billed To Perform At!



Last night (feb. 28) was not a good night for Africa’s Number 1 rapper – MI Abaga. The top selling rapper took to Twitter to send out a series of texts blasting one of the hottest nightclubs in Lagos –  Quilox Nightclub.

He sent out a series of angry tweets, writing

Quilox as a business disrespected me and my brand tonight, in more reasonable settings.. Whoever the manager was tonight should be fired!! By what do I know. I don’t think I will be going back there anytime soon.. Yall just lost a customer.



MI Abaga Addresses Critics About Why He Had So Many Guest Appearances On The Chairman Album



MI Abaga’s latest album “The Chairman” which was four years in the making sure has a lot of guest features. From Wizkid to 2Face Idibia to Seyi Shay to Patoranking, every single song on the 17 track album had a guest appearance apart from one track.

While many who haven’t listened to the album may feel M.I. was trying to hide behind the many guest appearances, he says that was not the case.

In a recent interview with Hip TV he spoke on the many collaboration, saying it was meant to bring out the best on every artiste on the track.

4 years is a long time to go without releasing an album these days, and that’s exactly how long it has been since MI Abaga released his sophomore album M.I 2, back in 2010.

In that time, a lot of acts have popped up in Nigerian Music, naija rap has come a long way in that time, indigenous rap has become “cool”, with the likes of Olamide, Reminisce and Phyno being some of the most consistent in that field, as Wizkid, Ice Prince, Davido, Iyanya, Flavour, P-Square and a lot more have become internationally recognized artistes.

So, how can the self-proclaimed “African Rapper No 1” show he still got it? Answer: release the most complete rap album from Nigeria in a long time. Which he has done with “The Chairman”.

M.I.’s Chairman Album Sells 30,000 Pre Order Copies In Just 30 Minutes!!!


It’s Chairman season!!!

Rapper MI Abaga is about to drop his most anticipated album yet…his first in 4 years. And the hype around the album’s release is paying off! A few days ago MI revealed that 30,000 pre order copies of The Chairman album were sold in 30 minutes! 1 corporate client bought 10,000 copies!

The 16 track album was made available for pre order on October 24th and features Wizkid, Ice Prince and a few other guest appearances.

Ice Prince’s Son Jamal Makes Music Video Debut In Ruby Gyang’s “Good Man”


Ice Prince’s son Jamal looks like he’s following daddy’s footsteps into the world of entertainment. The 2 year old cutie makes his debut in the video for Ruby Gyang‘s “Good man”.

In the video little Jamal is carried by Ice Prince as Ruby Gyang pays tribute to & profiles “good men” in her life.

28 year old Ruby is Jesse Jagz’s baby mama, she has an 8 year old daughter with the producer, whom she incidentally did not feature as one of the “good men” in the video. Ruby is signed to Loopy Records, M.I.’s record label…M.I. is Jesse’s older brother…

2Face is currently on a 10 city tour with alcoholic brand Star. On the Makurdi stop of the tour he surprised fans by bringing American singer who is signed with Jay Z’s Roc Nation to perform the duet “Let Somebody Love You” which is  off the music legend’s forthcoming album, Ascension.

The concert also saw performances from Tiwa Savage who reportedly gave a tearful tribute to Zara Gretti when she performed “Missing You”. There were also performances by M.I. who got very cosy with a female fan called Rita.

Jesse Jagz Speaks On Chocolate City Exit, Says “M.I. I Love You But I Am At War With Chocolate City”



Recently rapper & producer Jesse Jagz spoke his mind on the state of Nigerian music calling it un-intelligent [READ HERE IF YOU MISSED IT] & in a recent interview with Punch he is opening up about why he abruptly left Chocolate City in March, a record label which his brother M.I. is a vital part of as an executive.

First Jesse Jagz & Now Artistes Are Leaving Chocolate City…First Jesse Jagz, Now BrymO



Early this morning news broke that BrymO, Chocolate City crooner famous for his chorus on Ice Prince’s Oleku had left the label. Moments after that an official press release was sent out on behalf of the label by World PR Media stating:

” We can confirm that Brymo still has a valid contract with Choc City and we are certain our Artiste “Brymo” can confirm the same fact. We urge all reputable media houses to check facts with our establishment prior to releasing “Untrue” stories to the general public that rely on them for valuable Information”.

Less than an hour after that BrymO tweeted the following “It is true, I have left chocolate city”
