Empress Njamah Celebrates Birthday With Nollywood Colleagues & Orphaned Kids In Abuja [Photos]

On 18th November, Nollywood actress Empress Njamah turned a year older and she celebrated by throwing a party for a few of her Nollywood freiends as well as less priviledged women and kids at the Druz Garden in Maitama Abuja.

The actress didn’t have any airs about her, she cooked a humongous pot of jollof rice herself using the local method of firewood.

Jollof rice cooked on firewood is the best tasting jollof. Something about all that burnt wood gives it a unique taste LOL!

People who are mature can depict what is true and what is not. I am not ready to say anything. Why would it [Timaya’s comment] bother me? It is one thing to be hurt over such statement and another thing to be disappointed. I wasn’t hurt and I wasn’t even disappointed.

Timaya Calls Relationship With Empress Njamah “Ugly Episode”. Reveals He’s Writing Memoir

The self styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Timaya is putting on blast his controversial & very public relationship with Nollywood actress Empress Njamah!

There is always that one relationship that will hit you to the core for good or bad reasons & it appears Empress is that person for Timaya (albeit for bad reasons) & he still hasn’t gotten over the negative press resulting from his relationship with her.

He calls his relationship with Empress which ended amid controversy in 2009 an “Ugly Episode” & also reveals he is writing a book in which he will be talking about an “ex-girlfriend who always wanted to have sex whenever she was in the mood for it”…um would that be Empress?

Timaya why you have to do her like that now????? And why do Nigerian men put down women who like sex…it’s not like the woman is sleeping around the only person she’ bugging for sex is you & that’s a problem??? Read more of what he had to say after the jump

Empress Njamah Isn’t Messing With No Broke Niccas!

Empress Njamah is not about that poverty life! And she’s not here to settle for it either. In a recent interview with magazine “ShowBizplus”, the Nollywood actress who once dated Timaya, shared her opinion on marrying rich versus poor.

I’m not going to tell you what I want. But you get into an expensive shop to pick up something because you can afford it. You see something you can afford, then you buy it but if you cannot afford it, take a walk. The goods are for someone that can afford it, that’s the best I can tell you. I will not settle for less, my sister and that’s the truth.
People come and tell you all sort of lies and want to praise themselves and say “I can marry a poor man” the poor man no know wetin him see, abeg!I dey tell una say I am a real person, we all have been through tough times, we all have paid our dues one way or the other. So no poor man must get close to me. Those who know the worth pay the dues.

Kanye said it best, now I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger, but she ain’t messing with no broke nigga!

Check out Empress Njamah at the Encomium White Gig party which was held last weekend in Lagos to celebrate the magazine’s 15th Anniversary.

Empress sure loves her 32 inches mammy-water extensions. Remember the photo of her with the ridiculously long helmet hair (check it out HERE). Well thank goodness, this is much tamer, but just as long. I wonder how many donors it takes to get a full head of hair for her?! #JUSTSAYING

Mercy Johnson Gets Married! Photos from the much talked about & controversial wedding!

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson‘s wedding which took place yesterday in Lagos, Nigeria was undoubtedly the most controversial event of the year. The actress married Prince Odianosen Okojie despite all the drama of recent weeks, up until a few days ago many weren’t sure if Mercy would still go ahead with the wedding, seeing as legally (depending on who you ask) he’s still married to a woman named Lovely, a woman based in Canada who blew open the can of worms on Odi’s double life. The marriage blessing took place at Christ Embassy, Ikeja followed by a reception at 10 Degrees Event Centre.

In true Hollywood style, cameras were banned from the event which had heavy security, but some guests took photos with their phones which were promptly posted on twitter. Mercy’s maid of honour was Ghanian actress Yvonne Nelson, and her bridesmaids were Empress Njamah, Waje, Queen Nwokonye, Chika Ike and Goldie.

Nollywood came out in full force to support one of their own with guests including Genevieve Nnaji, Emeka Ike, Jim Iyke, Segun Arinze, Keneth Okonkwo, Patience Ozonkwo, Chinedu Ikedieze, Majid Mitchel, Francis Duru, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Mike Ezunronye  & many more.

Big Pimpin’! Empress Njamah acquires new Range Rover

Someone just sent me this photo of actress Empress Njamah posing beside her brand new Range Rover (dunno what model it is) with personalised plates M-PRESS! Congrats! More grease to your elbow.

On a no-car related note, this the best I’ve seen Empress look in recent times. She should stick with the understated look, the over the top hair/makeup/clothes does absolutely nothing for her. #JustSaying
