Dr. Sid Keeps It Real About How He Paid For His N110 Million Naira Lekki Home

Most Nigerian celebs are known for promoting an unrealistic lavish and ostentatious lifestyle with claims of Million Naira designer bags, 25 million Naira cars & 100 Million Naira homes. They never actually reveal how they pay for these things, leaving their young fans with a false impression of celebrity life.

Well Dr. Sid isn’t one of those people. In a recent interview with Punch he reveals that he financed his first home, a 100 Million Naira home in Lekki Phase 1 which he purchased last year March, with a mortgage plan.  He is scheduled to complete payment for the home in 2028.

In an interview with Punch he said,

I put a mortgage payment plan in place, based on the savings I had made four years before I started a career in music. I am still paying for the house. And by the grace of God, I will get a second one soon. I pay close to N1m a month and sometimes, more. I am going to do this for the next 25 years and I am not ashamed to say it

Dr. Sid has my respect! Hats off to him for keeping it real unlike most of his counterparts!

Screen Shot 2014-05-09 at 09.09.02

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is one of the most ratchet “reality” shows EVER! And I LOVE it. #DontJudgeMe

Veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah made an appearance on the last episode which aired on Wednesday 7th May in the United States on VH1. Ramsey Nuoah appeared in scenes beside “rapper” Karlie Redd who featured in a production he was filming last summer called “30 Days In Atlanta: The Adventures of Akpos”

Ramsey Nuaoh was not involved in any of the ratchetness…it was strictly professional, Nollywood stuff.

30 Days in Atlanta is comedian AY Makun’s first feature length movie. No word yet on when it will be released. You may recall that back in September last year Karlie Redd, Amber Rose & Boris Kodjoe visited Nigeria to judge the Miss Earth pageant. [READ HERE IF YOU MISSED IT]

Beyonce & Jay Z Can Now Attend Kimye’s Paris Wedding In Peace ‘Cos It Won’t Be Filmed!

Kimmy is dispelling false rumours about her wedding to Kanye West.

Some months back it was reported that Kim & Kanye’s May 24th Paris wedding would be filmed and aired as a wedding special for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. These reports were confirmed by Kardashian sources. It was later reported that Jay Z & Beyoncé would not be attending the wedding because the power couple did not want to be on the reality show…they are music’s number one power couple  and appearing on a reality TV show is so beneath them, even though Jay & Kanye are BFFs.

Well now they can attend in peace without fear of being pimped out by Mama Kim on E!, as last night Kim tweetd that the wedding will not be televised…which is such a shame cos I was looking forward to watching it. She also tweeted that her & Kanye are not yet married, in spite of reports that they had a private courthouse ceremony last week.

An American Mom Is Claiming She Started #BringBackOurGirls Hashtag, When It Was Started In Nigeria

#BringBackOurGirls – These are the four words which have been the rallying call on social media for the campaign for the return of over 250 abducted Chibok girls.

The hashtag has been tweeted over 1.3 million times by everyone from Michelle Obama to Chris Brown and even the ordinary Nigerian like myself.

A Los Angeles based filmmaker and mother of two, named Ramaa Mosley is claiming she started the hashtag, which is trending all over the world and has raised massive awareness for the campaign. She gave an interview to ABC Nightline a few days ago, in which she claims she was driving in her car when she heard the news about the abducted girls. She says she so moved,

I started weeping and I raced home, I looked on the Internet and I found some news in Africa that confirmed it, but couldn’t find anything else in the United States.

Which is what prompted her to start the call on twitter, she tweeted the call to everyone from Barrack Obama to Hillary Clinton to celebrities.
