According to reports from Net The Chocolate City CEO and Kemi are not speaking due to some drama concerning the video. In January it was revealed that he was shooting the Bullion Van video with Adetiba, who back then had posted photos from the set of the video.

35 year old D’Banj has achieved a lot more than people twice his age.

But one thing that still eludes him is – Marriage. Even though he has been linked to several A list chicks like – Genevieve Nnaji, Bonang Matheba, Adama Indimi & Jennifer Obayuwana, so far none of them have led to him taking that next step.

In a recent chat with Saturday Beats, he opened up about how growing up he thought he would be married by now and have a kid before turning 30.

Money & fame won’t get you into heaven when the time comes to meet your maker & rapper of the moment Olamide knows this!

Whiles speaking to My Africa with Andre Blaze Henshaw, the Bariga born artiste spoke about his biggest fear in life which he revealed to be not getting into heaven.

There are a lot of things we expected him to say but saying he might not make heaven surprises us. This shows that despite the crazy success that the “shakitibobo” rapper has amassed, he still has a level head on him.

He also spoke about the fact that he might not marry Adebukunmi Suleiman, his baby mama

Ebro Of New York’s Hot 97 Premieres Mavin’s New Track Featuring Jay Electronica – Get Down. Is Naija Music About To Take Over US Charts?

DonJazzyJayElectronica

DonJazzyJayElectronica

Is Nigerian music about to make it’s way onto mainstream American radio?

It is common knowledge that the US market is the hardest for any artiste to break into! Successful UK acts have been trying for decades to break the North American market but only a handful have been able to make any type of impact on the charts over there.

With the Nigerian music industry at an all time high, gaining attention from mainstream music acts like Jay Z, Kanye West & Drake, could our music be ready to conquer the US charts?

In April Jay Z announced his cousin was in Nigeria to sign artistes to Tidal & Roc Nation, just last week Drake jumped on the remix of Wizkid’s Ojuelegbaand just a few moments ago, popular radio personalities – Ebro of one of New York City’s most popular radio stations – Hot 97 announced that he was going to debut a new track from Don Jazzy, Reekado Banks & Di’Ja featuring Jay Electronica called Get Down, he also announced he was dedicating 5 whole minutes to Nigerian music on his primetime radio show.

Davido & Meek Mill‘s “Fans Mi” music video may have garnered 1.5 Million Youtube views in just a month of it’s release but the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency are clearly not fans of the video because they are coming after the 22 year old over the “display of drugs in the video”.

There is a display of parcels of something that looks suspiciously like cocaine but ended up really being poundo yam flour, going by how the video ended. The parcels and the white powder on the kitchen counter in the video is what is prompting the NDLEA probe.

Speaking to Sunday Punch, The Director of Public Affairs of the NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said,

If You Don’t Hear Your Favourite Song On Radio Anymore…It’s Cos NBC Has Banned It!

WizkidExpensiveShit

WizkidExpensiveShit

If one day you are waiting for your favourite song to come on radio and it doesn’t…it’s because the National Broadcasting Commission has banned it. The Federal parastatal which has been empowered to regulate the broadcast industry has been known to ban popular songs on radio & TV and they are at it again.

Yesterday Beat FM OAP Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi took to Twitter to make the announcements. Saying the reason the songs are being yanked off air is for “suggestive lyrics”, however unlike previous occasions this time NBC did not give broadcast organizations a list of banned artistes/songs instead they have left the choice to the radio & TV stations themselves.

If the stations play any “suggestive music” they will be fined…But what exactly is the definition of suggestive music?
