Best & Worst from the 2012 Golden Globes Red Carpet

Award season officially kicked off last night with the 2012 Golden Globes. I watched part of the red carpet arrivals on E! and it was such a welcome distraction from all the Fuel Subsidy Removal wahala, and waiting for NLC  & the president to address the nation about the outcome of their sunday afternoon meeting, which again ended in deadlock. Just incase you were asleep when it all happened the president has insisted on N97 and he is not backing down, NLC isn’t accepting, so the strike is still on but they have advised instead of  street protests rallies, we all sit our asses at home instead…WTF!

In the meantime our ever so caring commander in chief (NOT!!) will be addressing the nation at 7am (the speech has leaked online and you can read it here)

Apologies for going off topic but I am incensed, anyways nothing like analysing red carpet fashion to release my happy hormones. From Angelina Jolie to Mary J. Blige the stars were out last night and the red carpet was popping with designer gowns, expensive blings and tonnes of weave. See who rocked what after the jump.

Mary J. Blige repped in a shimmering Michael Kors gown which had a feathered skirt … according to E! the skirt was shedding as she walked the red carpet. LMAO! She looks great here but on TV it was another story. The dress made her look chubby and even worse her stomach was doing an Omotola at the Grammys! So either she’s pregnant or she forgot to use her body magic!

The most famous husband snatcher in the world Angelina Jolie was pure perfection in Atelier Versace. Best dressed hands down! She kills it with the accents of red on the shoulder detail of her dress, lips and clutch. FABBBBBB!

Viola Davis from The Help absolutely kills it in this burgundy Emilio Pucci gown and strappy bronze sandals. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Paula Patton is so gorgeous in this bright yellow Monique Lhuillier gown.

Dior Spokeswoman Charlize Theron opts for a nude Christian Dior couture gown

Reese Witherspoon rocks a red Zac Posen gown.

Oscar winner Natalie Portman in a bright pink draped Lanvin gown

Glee’s Lea Michelle in a silver Marchesa gown with a peek-a-boo bodice and a sequined skirt

Nicole Kidman rocks a grey halter Versace gown which features bold studded detailing.

Jessica Alba dazzles in a beaded lavender gown by Gucci. Pure Elegance >3

Kate Winslet in Jenny Packham. This is what fashionistas will call F-U-G-L-Y

Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara is her usual va-va-voom self in a navy blue mermaid gown by Vera Wang.

Zooey Deschanel in a custom-made Prada gown with a beaded neon green bodice and a high-shimmer neckline. #NOTAGOODLOOK

Michelle Williams in velvet Jason Wu, love the jeweled hair band. Dunno about the dress though, a bit too conservative for my taste.

Yet another face of Dior, Mila Kunis does all black in Christian Dior.

E’s Guiliana Rancic wore two gowns, she arrived in a black Basil Soda gown, but lightened it up for her E! hosting duties in another full-length gown with a high neckline.

SO WHO ROCKED IT & WHO FLOPPED IT.

Angelina was best, followed by Paula Patton and Sophia Vergara. there were lots of hits and very few misses overall, it was a ‘good dressing’ night sha.

Excellent information however I’d like to let you know that I think there is problem with your RSS feeds as they seem to not be working for me. May be just me but I thought overall I would cite it.
