Nelson Mandela’s memorial service just ended at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. In attendance are 4 former US presidents, current US president Barrack Obama & his wife, Olusegun Obasanjo & 90 other heads of states! The largest gathering of world leaders in Africa…EVER!
Also at the memorial service are Mandela’s widow Graca Machel, his former wife Winnie Mandela, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. The service saw speeches from President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma (who was booed heavily by the crowd), Barrack Obama & four other heads of states.
In what is also being called Mandela’s final act of peace, US President Obama was shown shaking hands with Fidel Castro’s brother Raul Castro – the new president of Cuba
One of my favourite parts of the service was when Kirk Flanklin shut it down with “My life is in your hands”.
